About PUTERI

PUTERI was established in 1982 under the name PERSATUAN BEKAS PELAJAR SEKOLAH SERI PUTERI KUALA LUMPUR.

Persatuan Alumni Sekolah Seri Puteri Malaysia (PUTERI) was established in 1982 at the request of the school and through the dedicated efforts of alumni from the 1969 and 1970’s batches. The initiative to form PUTERI was led by the former Principal, Puan Wan Azizah Wan Mohd Salleh, together with Cikgu Fauziah Ali and former warden, Ibu Zabidah Saleh.

Operating initially under a Pro-tem Committee, PUTERI was officially registered with the Registry of Societies Malaysia (ROS) on 22 November 1985 under its original name, Persatuan Bekas Pelajar Sekolah Seri Puteri Kuala Lumpur, with just 100 members.

Unfortunately, due to limited support from the alumni and committee members, PUTERI was eventually de-registered for non-compliance with the Society Act 1966. However, in 1991, thanks to the unwavering commitment of Cikgu Fauziah Ali and the leadership of Datin Hamida Hassan, PUTERI was successfully revived and re-registered.

Despite a period of dormancy beginning in 1994, a renewed spirit emerged in 1997. Led once again by Datin Hamida Hassan alongside Puan Zaharah Rashid, Cik Rahayu Zulkifli, Puan Alma Ahmad, Puan Raja Azura Raja Mahayuddin, and several dedicated members, the association was reactivated and renamed Persatuan Alumni Sekolah Seri Puteri Kuala Lumpur. In 2008, it adopted its current name: Persatuan Alumni Sekolah Seri Puteri Malaysia.

From 1997 to 2012, PUTERI thrived under the trusted leadership of Datin Hamida Hassan as President. In 2012, Puan Mastura Ma’sud was elected as her successor, supported by a committed committee, united in their vision and dedication to the continued growth and success of PUTERI.

In 2021, the leadership baton was passed to Datuk Dr. Harlina Halizah Siraj, who assumed the role of President alongside a newly appointed EXCO team. Guided by the core values of the i-SSP alumni—Integrity, Sisterhood, Sense of Belonging, and Passion—Datuk Dr. Harlina has brought renewed energy and purpose to PUTERI. Her visionary leadership and unwavering dedication led to her re-election for a second term, continuing her presidency for the 2024–2027 term.
